GC hosted a variety of activities when the season of love came around. There was a Valentine’s Day-themed bake sale for students, a Res Life event about sending Crush sodas to your crush and much more.
At the beginning of the week, GC Res Life began to host events for this lovely holiday through activities such as “Send a Crush to Your Crush,” an event where students could make a note and take a Crush soda to give to someone special at the school.
GC Student Activities also hosted a Build-a-Bear workshop for students during lunch to make their own Build-a-Bear. Students flocked to the Gold Dining Room and were overjoyed to make a stuffed animal for their special someone or themselves.

During the fundraising bake sale hosted by women’s lacrosse head coach Mallory Zelawski, various baked goods—from sweet pink cupcakes to heart-shaped cookies—were sold with most costing only $1.

In the Student Center, students were welcome to stop by and make a Valentine’s Day card for their special someone to show their love and creativity with the community.
To conclude the week of love, the cafeteria hosted a special Valentine’s Day dinner for students and their special someone to enjoy. The dinner consisted of steak, potatoes, chicken and other tasty entrees that the cafeteria typically does not serve.
Overall, GC went above and beyond with having activities for students during this special holiday, with both new events and some classic favorites.
