With fall sports coming to an end, winter sports are in full effect. With some of the longest seasons in GC sports coming up, we got a chance to look at and preview what GC winter sports bring to the 2025-2026 sports season.
Men’s Basketball
Despite a tough season last year, the Pride still found a way into the conference tournament as the number six seed. Thus, making it, they had to travel to Southern Virginia University where they would then lose on their trip to Buena Vista, Va.

But, through the tough times of last season, the Pride have seemed to bolster their roster to make a push this season. Adding numerous Division II transfers and adding an intriguing freshman class to the core they had the previous season, the Pride looks to change their ways and get back to what they once were under new head coach Micheal McDuffie.
“The team looks to change the culture by doing things differently and coming in with a everyday mindset,” said junior transfer guard Will Gray on what to expect this season.
Women’s Basketball
Coming off a year with many bumps and bruises, the Greensboro College women’s basketball team has seemingly been an interesting team to watch for. Going into year two under Coach Aaron Fernandez, the Pride looks to build towards their bright future.

With their chaotic play style, the Pride looks to cause havoc in the USA South this upcoming season. The Pride added many transfers to boost their roster in a very top-heavy USA South conference led by heavyweights Brevard and Southern Virginia. They currently sit 2-2 overall and look forward to making a statement come January.
Men’s and Women’s Swimming
Though other teams may get more spotlight, Greensboro College swimming is on the rise. Now in year two under head coach Korey McCulley, the Pride look to make strides on the sports scene at Greensboro College.
Men’s and Women’s Wrestling
For the 2025-2026 season, GC wrestling looks to start a new chapter with the departure of All-American Josh Wilson. There is talent all over the board for Greensboro College wrestling both on the men’s and women’ side. Led under head coach Justin Harty, the Pride look to make great
