The Greensboro College Kinesiology Club is no stranger to hosting engaging campus-wide events. In the past, the club has organized a variety of events, including a cornhole tournament, a pumpkin painting event for breast cancer patients, an athletic drive, a self-care day and a 3 vs 3 basketball tournament.
This semester, the club hosted a successful indoor volleyball tournament. Students from across campus, including student-athletes and non-athletes, gathered inside Reynolds gymnasium for an afternoon of fun competition.

There were five teams that participated in the tournament, each consisting of four to five players. Throughout the tournament, teams competed in a series of matches to determine which team would claim the first place spot.
The top three teams were recognized for their performances by receiving first, second and third place medals. In addition, each member of the first place team received gift cards to Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, Dairy Queen and Amazon.

The president of the Kinesiology Club, Bethany McQuinn, shared her thoughts on the overall turnout and energy of the tournament.
“I would describe the tournament as a success. We had a great turnout and everyone there was having a good time supporting each other!”
The Kinesiology Club has more exciting opportunities this semester for students on campus to get involved and stay active. The club will be partnering with Residence Life to host a dodgeball tournament toward the end of March. In April, they will host a wellness fair where there will be informational tables and resources from Athletic Trainers, the Counseling Department, the school nurse, a local chiropractor and the club itself. The event will provide students with important health and wellness information.
