The Collegian celebrates 100 volumes with notes from former editors

When I think back to my time as a staff member and editor of The Collegian, one word comes to mind: pride (no pun intended, I promise). If I’m being honest, I did not expect to enjoy writing for the school paper. In fact, it took some nudging from the best academic advisor in the school to get me to take the leap and sign up for the two-credit “course.” I am forever grateful for the push, though, because the two years I spent writing for The Collegian brought me some of my most memorable experiences—which include writing an award-winning piece, meeting and profiling a world-renowned artist, and being accepted into a prestigious summer journalism program held at Georgetown University. So, looking back, I’m proud of what my classmates and I accomplished during our two years together, and I’ll hold onto those memories for the rest of time. Happy 100 to The Collegian! Here’s to 100 more!
